WIP - Carnations #3 day 2

Still keeping it nice and loose, the local colors were scrubbed in today, with 2-3 values per object.

I love this phase of the painting and the last couple of years I've been trying to retain more and more of the directness and freshness of this layer, while still having picky realism in there too.
The next layer will start to get more realistic.

This is looking so beautiful. This stage works for me, but I know there is more to come.

I've been enjoying your new studio secrets blog. Today's entry (1A) gave me a good laugh as I wait for AAA to start my car! Thank you very much!
