I love the lighting and the way you staged the rose.
I am beset in misery right now. I am passing a kidney stone. I plan to do a self portrait of myself smashing it with huge hammer and a crazy look on my face while doing it. Just kidding. That's the medication talking, not me. :(
ok ok I'll stop feeling sorry for myself :) There that's better. The hammer really is a good idea though.
Hey I expanded quite a bit on the email I sent you about key lighting. I posted on my blog. If you check it out let me know what you think. I'm going to lay down now.

HI Lisa:
Love your work especially your figures! I just read your tip about visiting a studio. Good advice and I plan to do it again. However, I visited a very good landscape artist up here a few weeks ago. I was so excited to meet him and see his studio. Unfortunately he turned out to be rather condescending and full of himself. When I left, I was so depressed, it was all I could do to keep from bursting into tears.
I still think he is a very good artist and will follow his blog to learn but I will never go back to visit. It was a good lesson for me - I learned how NOT to talk to someone who wants encouragement.
I hope you will have your figure painting lessons on another day besides Sunday - I would love to watch. All the best -
